After rummaging through the alleys of Shinjuku, Japan and outfitted in tough luxe masculine-influenced garbs a la #bosslady style last fall, 3.1 Phillip Lim decided to take things down in a more relaxed fashion in his Spring 2017 collection.

And really, what better way than to give it some tropical beach vibes?

Lensed by Dutch photographer Viviane Sassen for the fifth consecutive time, his all-new advertising campaign translates a twist of romance, innocence, heartbreak, and hope, as model Lotte Van Noort leans on the palmy tree branches, decked in laidback looks ranging from bralettes strewn with vibrant micro flowers to slinky knits and demure floral dresses with sexy open backs, alongside a curly bob by Irena Ruben at House of Orange.

“In today’s culture of excess, I am intrigued by playful austerity and the idea of a new sensuality,” Phillip Lim declared. “Viviane interpreted this message through her artful lens, creating a series of seductive, modern imagery.”
