WERMDOGG’s latest collection of bags and shoes revolves around the mystics of the deep aquatic world.

Operating via her online store on peer-to-peer e-commerce website Etsy, WERMDOGG which is the brainchild of Singaporean illustrator Xinleh, is the sort of label that any artist would have been inclined to dream up out of their own imagination.

Known for her bold visual aesthetics, experimental style and a certain fluidity of line, the 28-year-old who is an adept storyteller herself decided to channel her creative energy towards an array of delectable and artfully-designed canvas products.

The debut collection is composed of hand painted shoes and tote bags that takes one on an escapade into the intriguing universe filled with a group of fascinating aquatics.

Some of these characters and their interesting narratives include the freckled face, trident-wielding Octopus who longs to be king of the sea, Nautilus-face, an ancient fossil constantly flummoxed by tidal changes and who is longing for permanent symbiosis, and not forgetting, the plump, adorable Mr Octo who fell in love with a fish – our favourite by far!

P.S. According to the artist herself, more designs revolving around the land, sea and sky will be coming your way. So keep your eyes peeled!
