This time round, LOEWE has made it clear ‘fashion’ gives back.

The Spanish fashion brand has joined forces with Knot On My Planet to contribute to the Elephant Crisis Fund, with its limited-edition collection of the iconic Tan Elephant Mini Bags.

What makes the philanthropic range stand-out is the bag’s meticulously, handcrafted beadwork. To do so, LOEWE has travelled to Northern Kenya to work with the women from Samburu Workshop at Ol Malo.

By applying their traditional craftsmanship onto the bag, this range of Elephant Bags is indeed a testament to the special relationship shared between the elephants and the people of that area, who are also longtime supporters of Save The Elephants.

Together with the conservation organisation, the proceeds of the Elephant bags will nonetheless help to provide rapid, catalytic support for the most effective projects designed to stop the killing of elephants, thwart traffickers and end the demand for ivory; an act that has reduced the African elephant population by 20 to 30 percent since 2009.

The collection is now available exclusively on loewe.com only, and in Bergdorf Goodman.
