[vimeo https://vimeo.com/204334651] The stunning Coach 1941 Fall 2017 collection, which was presented yesterday at New York Fashion Week, evoked a sense of nostalgia with its juxtapositions of the great American outdoors and the early New York hip-hop, as well as the prairie and the city.

Set against the backdrop of a makeshift prairie house, the show was attended by celebrities from the likes of Selena Gomez, Drew Barrymore, Sabrina CarpenterEmma Roberts, Charlene Choi, and Aluna Francis of AlunaGeorge – all of whom could very well be the woman that Stuart Vevers was designing for.

In the collection were an undeniable dose of layering, with an obvious play on textures and volume. Novelty motifs were matched with sequins, patchwork quilts with airy chiffon and nature blooms – in the form of prints.

Despite the fact that tough biker leather jackets were also added to the mix, the overall feel was cosy ... and extremely relatable.
