PRESENTING Nike Sportswear SPRING 2011 Men’s and Women’s collection!

With refreshing colors and style updates to their iconic designs, the collection features pastel colours (such as yellow, pastel pink, salmon red, heather grey), all in time for the Spring ’12 trend!

The Nike Sportswear collection is designed for daily casual wear that allows athletes and athletes-at-heart to dictate their off-field style, without sacrificing athletic tradition and technology. Nike Sportswear can be worn on-field or off-field, at work/school or play, and it is dedicated for someone who is “always on”.

The key highlight to note for this season’s collection is Nike’s Cortez footwear which celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2012!

.

The CORTEZ footwear from Nike was first introduced in the mid-sixties, and was designed by Bill Bowerman, the 1972 U.S. Running Coach.

The Cortez combined a thick long-wearing outer sole with a full-length sponge mid-sole cushion to absorb road shock and reduce leg fatigue, simultaneously elevating the heel to reduce Achilles tendon strain. And the concept behind this shoe is it’s lightweight quality and weatherproof function, making it the supreme training shoe for the long distance runner.

Now in 2012, the Nike’s Cortez celebrates it’s 40th anniversary, signifying a celebration of Nike’s rich history in running and innovation, especially with it’s broad consumer base. It’s simple aesthetic and wearability has made the Cortez as the most “democratic” sneaker Nike Sportswear has to offer.
