We seriously have no qualms in proclaiming our love for the talented wave of Thai designers in our midst, with their earnest, keen effort in presenting nothing but the most intriguing creative design.

And while we are presented with a mix of styles from the land of Siam, we are undoubtedly thrilled and knocked-over by Thai designer label, PALASAK‘s collections season after season, ever since we first spotted the designer, Eve Nutthida Palasak at last year’s Blueprint 2011 tradeshow.

That is why, we just couldn’t help ourselves but to kick-start our Designer of the Month programme in order to showcase her impeccable works.

Fueled by a distinguished style of origami, every piece from PALASAK’s collection is truly an art piece inspired by geometric patterns, which are presented in a manner of sophisticated simplicity; a sheer delight of how the geometrical shapes of her colletion are able to weave up a sense of liveliness and airiness when worn.

It in no wonder why her recent showing of her Spring/Summer 2013 collection in the WHO’S NEXT PRET A PORTER PARIS tradeshow earlier this month was nothing short of a success, a true-blue phenomenon on how her designs literally took the fashion world by storm.

Be prepared to be bowed over by this new collection of hers which is beautifully titled as “The Flowers Poem“, concentrating in a deliverance of an immaculate fusion of sculptured silhouettes meets an explosion of kaleidoscope floral prints. If you think you’ve seen the best of the floral trend, think again.

In her collection, the beauty of a flower is taken both as a whole in it’s entire anatomy, as well as parts of it, where a replication of flower petals is translated in the addition of complex layers of folding and twisting techniques, totally working the floral trend in a 3-dimensional way – an innovative take of her signature origami approach which we can’t help, but fall in love with.

My favourite dress from the collection; love the hemline, sculptured sides and the digital print!

.

Not only that, the textiles in the collection were also embellished in the shape of a flower with machine embroidery and laser cut acrylics diamante, which result in a seemingly painterly effect that aces in every symmetrical manner, simply topping the charts in our book of innovation and creativeness!

What’s even more amazing is Eve’s choice of fabrics- a dominant amount of chiffon and crape chiffon as the main fabrications of her collection, which are totally breathable and lightweight yet statement-making to get you through from day to night.

A mixture of pastels and pops of vibrancy in a totally digital-meets-organic feel, – seriously can’t say no to them!

.

Of course don’t take my word for it, see photos of her collection below, and you’ll know why I’m so in love with Eve Palasak’s S/s 2013 collection:

If you love her collection as much as we do, hop on and shop the collection at PALASAK‘s website (http://www.npalasak.com/)

And to Eve, a big congrats to a successful showing at WHO’S NEXT PARIS, can’t wait to see your next destination!
