It’s Open House time (and the first birthday of Dover Street Market Singapore)! And really, what better way to throw a bash than to literally have a party?

For one day only (28 July 2018), the multi-label concept store has converted a range of cargo shipping containers into actual retail spaces, housing a series of product launches, including exclusive merchandise, from friends and collaborators, along with special outdoor events.

These included the special container installations from Nike and Converse, for the launch of Nike The Ten: Air Presto and Converse x DSM One Star Canvas respectively.

Likewise, Paris Saint-Germain Football Club has created a special capsule, which comprised of limited edition Nike Air Force 1 sneakers and a skateboard designed by local artist Mark Ong of SBTG as well as the 2018/19 away jerseys (we spotted a Neymar jersey), training top, jacket, pins and a cap.

On the more streetwear side of things, Samuel Ross, the founder and creator of label A-COLD-WALL was also in town to launch the exclusive DSMS merchandise; a tough-looking paint-splattered jacket, amongst other designs, as well as soundscapes scored by him for DSMS’ 1st Anniversary installation.

Not forgetting, a quirky embroidered sweater from Edison Chen and KB-owned brand Emotionally Unavailable

That being said, the socially-inducing open-space concept was also the grounds forAvi Gold’s Better™ Gift Shop in the form of a pop-up hot dog stand, filled with tongue-in-cheek t-shirts and DSM merchandise.

Those heading to the beach anytime soon would have loved Potato Head Bali‘s capsule – delightfully-printed shirts and bermudas from Mezcal Circle Club and Green School, housed in a container made from recycled waste and natural materials.

Other highlights of the day included a ‘live’ sneaker customisation by Mark Ong of SBTG from 2pm to 7pm at Paris Saint-Germain Football Club container, WERK Magazine‘s limited edition poster for the launch of DOMINIE-WERK No.26: Béton Brut aka “The Brutalist” Magazine, with a special installation in-store, a t-shirt screening activity with local artist Sam Lo’s graphics at 11am at Nike container, and Masayuki Ino‘s Autumn/Winter 2018 collection in a specially-designed container installation.
