Yes, you’ve heard that right.

Within a mere 2 months since the launch of adidas Originals P.O.D. System, the brand has released a simple black-and-white version of the runner – ditching the first style’s blue and neon accents.

This new colourway is incredibly timely, as the monochrome palette is current having a major moment for the fashion crowd (even Pharrell Williams was spotted in one).

Yet despite this little revamp of the colour, so to speak, the brand’s signature lightweight comfort and its stylish aesthetics still holds court on both the outside and inside of each shoe.

The all-purpose P.O.D-S31 sneaker features an all-black knitted textile upper, reinforced by structured overlays on its unique popular construction, a Boost™ unit in the heel, as well as a high-rebound EVA forefoot.

Lastly, the Torsion™-inspired Point of Deflection bridge unites all 3 components in a seamless manner.

Hence, it is true when they say that fads may come and go, but really, having those basics on your feet won’t because of one simple fact: they go with literally everything. Let’s not forget the cool factor of the sneakers too.

The black/white P.O.D. System will be released in adidas Originals VivoCity, adidas Originals Pacific Plaza and on E-Com today (Thursday, August 2) for SGD $200.
