Black, brown and the occasional neutral have long been the safe choices for activewear. NikeSKIMS, however, is making a rather good case for red.
The latest collection introduces University Red, a bold new colourway that appears across everything from body-contouring essentials to footwear and accessories. There is also another first for the brand: outerwear, giving the NikeSKIMS wardrobe a little more room to play with.

There are two new material collections to look out for. Sherpa brings the softer side of things, with a vest, half-zip jacket and hooded jacket made from high-pile Nike Therma-FIT material, finished with a brushed interior and recycled nylon panels. The pieces are designed to keep you warm while working with the rest of the NikeSKIMS wardrobe.
Crunchy Nylon, meanwhile, takes a more structured approach. Its water-repellent fabric gives the pieces extra volume, with a cropped jacket, hooded parka, two-inch shorts and wide-leg trousers adding a different look to the collection.

University Red brings a welcome change from the usual activewear neutrals, particularly if you prefer your sportswear with a little more personality.
Kim Kardashian, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer of SKIMS, says the new outerwear gives women more ways to style the collection throughout the day, while University Red brings extra energy to the range.

The returning collections have their own additions too. Matte introduces new body-contouring bras, while Stretch Knit adds new styles made from a single-layer seamless yarn designed to create a soft drape and close fit. Weightless Layers, Stretch Nylon, Performance Cotton Blend and Airy also return in additional colourways.
Footwear gets a little colour refresh of its own. The NikeSKIMS Rift Satin arrives in Shadow Brown and University Red, joining the returning Silt Red colourway.

For the campaign, NikeSKIMS turns to the University of Alabama cheer team, bringing the collection to life through movement and performance. The university has partnered with Nike across its sports programmes for three decades, making the collaboration a natural fit for the brand.
The new NikeSKIMS Fall collection is available at Nike’s website, Nike Orchard Road and Nike Jewel Singapore.
