Making its second year into the fashion trade history locally is Singapore’s very own BLUEPRINT event, held at the Suntec Convention Centre.

With ‘Embodying The Future’ being set as this year’s theme, it shines its focus on the following 150 emerging talented designers around the region as part of fashion’s future frontiers, including the newly joined partnership with The Brandery Asia.
It’s a fest to the locals like myself to indulge in brands that are almost never before commercially seen. A great platform for designers, buyers, media and consumers of both local and international personalities to interact and mingle with each other.
And I find it an incredible idea to launch the ‘Wearing Emerging Designers’ (W.E.D) movement this year and implement it right at the start of this year so the momentum and idea of wearing emerging designers’ designs eventually build up and lead up to the actual Blueprint event.
The following are pictures taken during the runway which kick started the first day of Blueprint’s trade show! Brands include Debb (Seoul), Dressedundressed (tokyo), Evenodd (Singapore), -J-A-S-O-N- (Singapore), Juma (Toronto), Nikicio (Jakarta), Oswald Helgason (UK) and PU3 (Malaysia).
With the multitude of labels and designers to check out, we troopers were totally spoiled for choices!!
We would love to share every single experience we held at all the stores but we are not filming a documentary here. So instead, we going to share you the top 5 stalls we felt deserve the limelight! Lights please!

5) URFACE
This Thai bag and accessories brand, Urface tops my chart of the ultimate must-have in this trade show!
I personally love the aesthetic and functionality of their products. I heard from Joker, the brand manager that they hold monthly collaborations with graphic designers. What they do is that they uses selected designer’s famous prints and then use it as a layout for their signature bags design. Brilliant! The inner compartments of the tote bag are designed specifically for Apple products, with functions such as the ipad and iphone slots!
Each designs are exclusive as they are cap in between 9-19 pieces max in every country distributed. Also, each pieces are personally autographed by the designers. How cool is that? Look out for this brand as who knows your favorite designers might be collaborating with them soon 🙂
Serious enjoyed this year’s Blueprint 2012! Counting down to next year’s!
