Confidence can be a tricky thing, especially when you find yourself at the bottom during eliminations. Will you step up your game or will you succumb to your insecurities? This week’s episode will determine it all.
Perhaps one of the most critical aspect in a reality content series such as Asia’s Next Top Models, it is no wonder why most media report that fashion modeling is a cut-throat business and only the strongest will be able to survive.
Any aspiring model will tell you that they have been asked to slim down because they are too “fat”, to work on their face (I don’t even know what that means … ) and to rectify their walk lest they look like Donald Ducks on the catwalks, or in the case of episode 4 which aired on 30 March 2016 at 9pm on StarWorld Asia Channel, “flappy bird” in their photoshoot photos.
Others were also told straight to their faces that they are more of a “car-unveiling person” than a model.
Harsh as it seems, these models have to suck it up and channel all their energy into dynamic, elegant and most importantly, confidence postures amidst the blazing sun. Can they maintain their poise or will they lose it all?
Modeling is one tough job, isn’t it? I’m so thankful that I’m on the other side of the lens.
Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 4 Episode 4 is hosted by Cindy Bishop with Yu Tsai as the creative director and Bangkok fashion photographer Nat Prakobsantisuk as the man behind the lens.
Guest judges this week include seasoned fashion show producer Daniel Boey who makes his first-ever return to the modeling reality tv series since his tenure in Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 1 back in 2012.
Subaru’s Glenn Tan, who is the Executive Director of Tan Chong International Ltd also join the judging panel.
Watch the teaser for Asia’s Next Top Model Episode 5 starring fashion legend Patricia Field as special guest:
Abusive language by Glenn Tan (the “heavy-built” subaru guy) made me stop watching this. What does he want? A trained docile female kitten? Thankfully one of the girls left on her own.
