No, I am not kidding.

The latest collaboration from Brazilian shoe brand Melissa and visionary designer Jeremy Scott is literally all about inflatable and waterproof footwear — think your favourite pool floats and rafts.

First showcased at New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2016, these bright, fun-coloured plastic shoes come in five signature styles, all in eye-popping “POP” colourways.

Whether you are a sandals kind of girl, a flat-pumps kind of girl, or an ankle-boots kind of girl (just like yours truly), there is something for everyone.

Each pair even comes with a small drain plug. I have no idea what would happen if you actually tried to blow air into them, but the idea is delightfully playful.

Check out these photos, taken last night at the exclusive launch party of the Melissa x Jeremy Scott collection at OverEasy Orchard, Singapore, where the mood was pure 1960s Grease vibes.

And if you have little ones, there is a range of super cheeky monkey boots in Mini Melissa style — perfect for tiny fashion rebels.

Melissa x Jeremy Scott shoes are priced from SGD$100 to $260 and are available at Melissa MDREAMS stores at Wheelock Place and One Raffles Place, as well as online. Click here for store locations.
