Despite being one of the oldest creator of trunks and leather bags, and a fashion house with deep-seeded French heritage, Moynat may not be as familiar to you as – say Louis Vuitton.
But come 28 July 2017, that is set to change.
The new Moynat Gallery in Singapore will be opening in the heart of Takashimaya Shopping Centre, and it will be carrying a plethora of leather goods and accessories, trunks and textiles for both men and women.
Housed in a stunning interior with lacquered panels and warm amber leather accents designed specially for the purveyors of Parisian luxury, the Gallery – a masterpiece of Gwenaël Nicolas, director of Tokyo-based architecture and graphic design firm Curiosity – embodies the core philosophy of authenticity and elegance that is maintained since the inception of the maison by founder Pauline Moynat in 1849.
One can look forward to the Moynat’s signature designs, which include the Rejane (below), an uncompromising structured city bag that exudes class in a minimalistic manner. It is also one that underscores the maison’s impressive craftsmanship.
Other bags to look out for include the Gabrielle, Cabotin, Pauline and the Tango – all of which were launched during the brand’s revival in 2011 under the artistic direction of Ramesh Nair.
Moynat also has a Mini Vanity bag that will keep your evening look on point.
You can also give your leather goods your own unique touch through the personalisation services available in the Gallery such as the hand-painting of initials.
While you’re at it, you can also make your orders for bespoke trunks and handbags!
