There is a reason Le Pliage has been a wardrobe staple for so many years. It is practical, lightweight, folds away neatly and somehow always comes in handy. But what if you could take that familiar Longchamp bag and make it feel a little more like you?

That is the idea behind My Pliage, Longchamp’s made-to-order personalisation service, which has arrived in Singapore with a four-week pop-up at Raffles City. Running from 21 October to 18 November 2026, the experience lets you design your own piece, from the colours and patterns to the finishing details.

And there are plenty of possibilities to play with.

My Pliage offers more than 2.7 billion design combinations across seven bag styles, with up to 16 body colours, selected patterns, leather details, hardware finishes and personalised lettering. You can opt for stripes, hearts or the new leopard print, then add your initials or a meaningful message to make the design your own.

The fun is in putting the different elements together. You might prefer a classic colour combination with a subtle personal detail, or decide that your bag needs a little more personality. Either way, the familiar Le Pliage silhouette gives you a starting point, while the customisation options let you take it somewhere else.

I had the chance to try the experience for myself, and naturally, I went for stripes.

My choice was a My Pliage coin purse, customised with a Bordeaux and brown stripe design and my initials, J.Y. It is a small accessory, but that is part of its appeal. A coin purse is something you reach for regularly, and having one made with your own details gives an everyday essential a more personal touch.

The stripes also give the piece a little more character than a plain design, while the initials make it unmistakably mine. It is a simple combination, but sometimes those are the most satisfying choices to make.

Of course, there is a difference between choosing a design on the spot and receiving the finished piece. My coin purse will be made to order, so I will have to wait six to eight weeks for it to arrive. That is part of the process: each customised creation is produced specifically for its owner rather than taken straight off a shelf.

Every My Pliage piece is crafted to order at Longchamp’s atelier in Segré, France. The service also uses 100% recycled polyester for its bespoke creations, with sublimation printing techniques used to apply the designs.

The original Le Pliage, created in 1993 by Philippe Cassegrain, was inspired by origami. Its ability to unfold into a spacious bag and fold neatly into a compact shape has helped make it one of Longchamp’s most recognisable designs. My Pliage builds on that familiar form by giving customers a more direct role in deciding how their bag looks.

If you are already thinking about personalised gifts for the festive season, the pop-up is also a good opportunity to explore the options in person. Longchamp advisors are on hand to guide customers through the design process, while orders can be delivered to local Singapore addresses or collected in store. The same personalisation service is available online through the Longchamp Singapore website.

The My Pliage Pop-Up is at Raffles City Singapore until 18 November 2026.
