Ukrainian fashion label ELENAREVA debuts with a unique and sophisticated collection

Just recently, I was being introduced to Ukrainian fashion designer, Elena Reva whose brand new collection has charmed me with it’s clear differentiation of ‘fashion’- a breezy sophisticated collection for the modern women that undoubtedly stands out, and is a clear departure from the sea of highly-commercialised and cliché fashion directions we see these days.

For her, fashion stems from her deep love and passion for it since her childhood days, driving her to create fashion by making clothes for her dolls when she was a little girl, where she sewed them night and day.

When she grew up, she begun working in the modeling business and getting her first-hand exposure to how designers go about the various processes to conceive a collection, right from the technicalities to the cuts and models, giving her a clear insight of how she wants clothing to be like. With this in mind, she decide to take design really seriously after she ended her modeling career, by spending 4 years in the designing of collections for OBRANI brand.

Now with her own womenswear label, ELENAREVA, she churns out a line that merges classic styles with retro elements in notions of serenity, that is undeniably elegant, sexy yet sophisticated at the same time, focusing prominently on a top-notch in quality above all.

What really excites me about her label is the fact that she designs them not with the popular trends in mind, but rather, according to her dreams, inner feelings and wishes, which I think that should be the true direction that all fashion designers must have.
