For Style & Accesories Director of Marie Claire US magazine, Taylor Tomasi-Hill, styling is definitely in her middle name.

With her iconic red flamed hair, affection for sartorial outfits and a stellar presence, she’s pretty hard to miss, which is no wonder why she’s the muse of fashion genius, Prabal Gurung.

For this season, she has joined forces with Australian luxury accessories brand OROTON at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia 2012 (MBAFW), to bring about a presentation of the brand’s first-ever ready-to-wear collection for Autumn/Winter 2012, designed by their Creative Director, Ana Maria Escobar.

“Showing at MBFWA has been an amazing experience and it is the perfect platform to showcase our first apparel collection combined with our accessories”

– Ana Maria Escobar, Creative Director of OROTON

OROTON has clearly roped in Taylor’s talent cleverly, as her curating of styled looks were spot-on in translating the brand’s signature style of exquisite quality, from their accessories line to their first apparel line.

The show, which had the face of OROTON’s current campaign, Samantha Harris opening it, had a brilliant combination of daring, vibrant pops such electric blues, loud pinks and so-not-shy orange, and is cleverly offsetted by cool shades of beige and stone, which will appeal to all (including me!) and perfect for sunny days!

The beautifully-concocted hero plaited rope print

The silhouettes were kept to simple, minimalist, so that this collection’s hero plaited rope print, in the form of relaxed, tapered pants, shirtdresses in controlled drapes, sleek pencil skirts and cool shorts, paired with innocent braided hair looks, can truly shine. Scarves and sporty-chic inspired items were aplenty too!

What I really like about the collection is how relevant it is, yet sleek and chic nonetheless, especially when paired so seamlessly with the bags and belts from OROTON’s very own accessories line!

Watching this collection, it is almost like we were spending a summer evening in a South American seaside village, which is inspired by Ana’s South American heritage, alongside the music of acoustic rhythms by music producer, Johnny from Stereogamous! Well, I’d say that this is definitely a show which will propel and give OROTON a breakthrough into both the ready-to-wear industry and the accessories industry, making the brand an all-rounder, which will cater to every fashionistas’ needs! Clearly a collection of wardrobe essentials!

I simply want those refined leather satchels and Oroton’s unique printed shirtdresses; ultimate must-haves!
